Butacin

Pharmacology

This injectable solution is a preparation of Butaphosphan (Phosphorus) along with Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) which acts as a metabolic stimulant, roborant & tonic. Butaphosphan, the Phosphorus compound acts as an anabolic agent in animal body & stimulates in the process of transformation of food into living tissue. Cyanocobalamin influences in protein, carbohydrate & fat metabolism and Cyanocobalamin also promotes formation & maturation of red blood corpuscles. Jointly Butaphosphan & Cyanocobalamin improve the availability of energy & assist in balancing of cyanocobalamin & mineral disorder.

Indications

Cattle: Increase muscular performances, metabolic disorders, tonic for weakness, support for tetany & paresis, growth disorders in young animals, and support for infertility treatment.

Poultry: Promotes rapid growth, boosts resistance in stress conditions, and helps in preventing cannibalism.

Dosage & Administration

Administered by intravenous, intramuscular, or subcutaneous injection.

In acute disease (To be repeated daily if required):

• Cattle & Horse: 5-25 ml
• Foal & Calf: 5-12 ml
• Goat & Sheep: 2.5-5 ml
• Lamb & Kid: 1.5-2.5 ml
• Cat & Dog: 0.5-5 ml
• Poultry: 1 ml/1-2 L of drinking water for 3-5 days

In chronic disease: Half of the above dose is required repeatedly at intervals of 3-5 days.

In healthy Animals: Half of the above dose.

• Should not be used in animals hypersensitive to any component of this product.
• No hazardous reactions were reported.
