Tylosin Injection
A macrolide antibiotic injection for the treatment of bacterial infections in cattle and poultry.
Composition:
Each ml contains Tylosin (as Tartrate) 200 mg.
Indications
Tylosin Injection is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to Tylosin, such as:
- Cattle: Bovine Respiratory Complex (shipping fever, pneumonia), foot rot (necrotic pododermatitis), and metritis.
- Poultry (Chickens and Turkeys): Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD) associated with Mycoplasma gallisepticum and infectious sinusitis in turkeys.
Dosage and Administration
For parenteral administration.
Cattle: 1 ml per 20 kg of body weight by intramuscular (IM) injection once daily for up to 5 days.
Poultry: 0.3 ml per kg of body weight by subcutaneous (SC) injection.
Withdrawal Period
- Cattle (for meat): 21 days
- Cattle (for milk): Do not use in lactating cattle producing milk for human consumption.
- Poultry (for meat): 5 days
- Poultry (for eggs): Do not use in birds producing eggs for human consumption.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry, and dark place, below 25°C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
